Many people came to know Maksim Stojanac as Vince in the popular Ketnet series #LikeMe. Music already played an important role in the show, but after the series ended, he resolutely chose to focus on his own repertoire. In 2022, his debut album MAKSIM was released, featuring songs such as Zonder Mij and Vechten Voor Je. He also remained a familiar face on television: for example, he donned the Lion costume on The Masked Singer and participated with Liefde voor Muziek in 2025. 

His major musical breakthrough came with Ik Wil Dat Je Liegt, a duet with the Dutch singer Hannah Mae. The song won the Radio 2 Zomerhit award in 2024 and became one of his biggest hits. A year later, MAKSIM headlined his own show for two nights at the Lotto Arena.

This summer, MAKSIM made his mark once again with Hoe Dan Ook, a duet with Babet that took him to the finals of VRT Zomerhit 2026. The song aligns with the personal, Dutch-language pop style with which he has carved out his own niche in recent years. He also delivers these songs convincingly in live performances.
