Night of the Proms features no less than 23 shows in Antwerp. Composer-conductor Karl Jenkins brings his dreamy music to life, with a prominent role for the choir Fine Fleur. The symphonic pop of ABC is convincingly delivered by frontman Martin Fry, while Marco Borsato thrills the audience with his deceptive dreams. The sensation, however, is Meat Loaf, who goes ‘all-in’ both theatrically and vocally, hanging on to the oxygen bottle after each performance. His version of ‘Paradise By The Dashboard Light’ gets longer every show, leading to daily back stage bets on how long the song would last that night.
