2007
Super-producer Nile Rodgers brings the funk with Chic’s string-heavy hits (Le Freak, Good Times), and charms everyone backstage with his warm personality. Soulsister celebrates a reunion with a medley of their hits, making the Sportpaleis shake.
Because of their popularity in the country, they will also go on tour to Germany. The bill also features the name of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), but had to cancel a month before the event for family reasons. Their spot is filled by Kid Creole and his Coconuts, a vibrant and very pleasant company. Roby Lakatos is violin virtuoso on duty, and Macy Gray enchants the audience with a virtual duet with James Brown, for which she uses video and audio from his performance at NotP in 2004. A special guest in Antwerp is Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort, laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition.
