Good wine needs no bush: with Toto, Anastacia and Clouseau, three acts are on the bill with extensive Proms experience, and they fully meet the high expectations. Even though the duet between Anastacia and Clouseau almost turns out wrong due to microphone issues, the audience goes completely wild with all those hits. Toto includes Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams (son of music composer John) here for the first time, and the boys from Backbone see a childhood dream come true as they join their favourite band on stage. James Morisson and Berre bring their youthful class, and Nathan Chan is an extremely likeable classical soloist, who also remains captain of the cellos throughout the show.
