Formed especially for the 1995 edition, the Fine Fleur choir provided strong vocal accompaniment to world stars such as Andrea Bocelli and Roger Hodgson during that baptism of fire. Over the years, this exuberant group of singers evolved into an essential part of Night of the Proms. Sometimes the choir supports orchestral pop songs as a background choir, other times Fine Fleur comes to the fore with a classical work or original mash-up. Audiences know this mix of professional and hobby singers as a dynamic ensemble that regularly causes goosebumps.
